Our New Municipal Stadium Complex Opening Day for "Rec" Baseball had over 700 children participating. In 2012 Belleville got a beautiful new "Turf" Football Field to compliment the new baseball field, stands and concession stand.
The Stands have been renovated as well. We can all be proud of the enhancements made to our Municipal Sports Complex.

Amusement Park
In the 1920's, Belleville had an Amusement Park with a
Roller Coaster. It was on Washington Avenue. The Pavilion in front of the
Roller Coaster was eventually turned into a Roller Skating Rink. The
skating rink burned down in the early 1960's and was replaced by one of
the first McDonald’s Restaurants in Essex County. |
